Guiding Gainesville Public Workshop

February 3 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

This workshop will formally introduce each plan and its function in city planning. All residents are encouraged to attend this come-and-go workshop and participate in interactive exercises designed to help the project team better understand the community’s needs. Feedback from the workshops will be incorporated into the plans. The time of the workshop is conveniently held in the evening to maximize participation.

What you can expect:

  • Come-and-Go Format
    Arrive and leave at your convenience. Come at 6:00 PM to learn more about the project.
  • Interactive Stations
    Explore dedicated areas for each plan including activities for your children.
  • Hands-On Activities
    Participate in engaging exercises to share your ideas on community development, downtown revitalization, parks & trails, and more!

Explore hands-on activities with topics including:

  • Comprehensive Plan
    Share your ideas on sustainable growth, economic development, land use, and quality of life.
  • Downtown Master Plan
    Explore opportunities to enhance downtown, improve walkability, and create a vibrant cultural environment.
  • Parks & Trails Master Plan
    Share your vision for a connected and accessible parks and trails system that promotes active lifestyles.
