Join us for the third Guiding Gainesville Public Workshop!

This workshop will begin as a large group presentation, where the Project Team will introduce and overview the Plan. The team format will break out into small groups with key topic-specific rooms to open opportunities for diverse participation and conversations.

Workshop Agenda

  • Project Introduction (20 Minutes)
    • Recap of the Guiding Gainesville project purpose and its community impact
    • Overview of the Plan’s process and project phases.
  • Existing Conditions Analysis Break-out Sessions (90 minutes)
    • Fiscal Resiliency and Sustainable Development
      • Presentation of current economic analysis findings
      • Learn about related recommendations
    • Neighborhoods and Housing
      • The Project Team will walk through current findings and recommendations related to land use, population projections, and housing trends
    • Public Infrastructure, Street Network, and Municipal Facilities 
      • Join this presentation for results of our analysis, all linked back to feedback provided by the community.
      • Learn about recommendations for infrastructure, critical utilities, and traffic
    • Downtown Revitalization
      • Presentation of findings for Downtown Gainesville
      • Learn about recommendations for revitalizing the area
    • Parks & Trails and Public Space
      • Learn about findings from our analyses
      • Preview recommendations that illustrate the future vision for these spaces
  • Workshop Closeout (10 minutes)
    • Find out the next steps for the Guiding Gainesville project.
